Replacing Stabilizer bar cushions - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

Yesterday the passenger side stabilizer bar cushion on my '91 gts slipped out of the bracket so now it makes a clunk when I hit a bump.
My question is do I have to slip the new one on or is there a split in it? Either way I will have to remove the bracket that holds it which is not a problem. Any auto part stores going to carry these in the event the oem's are TOO expensive?

I dont know if auto parts stores carry them, but I do know you can gett hem from www.185performance.com.

As for the bushing itself, ou have to slide the new on over and bolt the clamp back over it.

Ok thanks. I ordered a pair today for $17 tax and titie and they should be here Tuesday.

I picked them up today at the dealer and they DO have a slit in them which means I do not have to unbolt the stabilizer bar to slide them on. They have a shoulder on each side to hold them in place. Mine were just worn out after 149k i suppose.
Another smartly engineered part by Toyota.
