USA 3gse noob

I have an 86 Celica GT-S. I haven't done alot of research on it but from what I gather it has a 3gse engine. Is this right? Any engine swap in without too much custom work? Do the gen 6 celicas have a 3gse also? I am happy with my motor, but if another motor will drop in with minor custom work, I'll do it.

Anyone modding 86 GT-S'?

Thanks.

Yup, U got the 1st generation 3S-GE, you can swap it for any S family engine including the turboed 3S-GTE with minimal work. 6th Gen Celicas came with the 3S-FE engine

I have a 87 Celica with Gen 1 3SGE engine, can anyone give me some suggestions on whether I should recondition the engine or swap with later Gen engines?

A swap tp later engine require ECU. I'll rebuild it with P&P and cams.

What I'm actually wondering is if there's any pages regarding the 3SGE motor and all its generations... I just haven't found one yet.
