USA head work???

OK i have a 90 celica that has a 3S-GE motor would it be smart to try some head work on it (port & polish, pocket porting, and a .3000 mill) IF i did some of this would the head respond well to it or negitive.. Also is it true that you can put a turbo on a 3S-GE and it will convert it into a 3SGTE??????????????

all of that will help increase hp + torque only if you have a strong bottom end(rods+crank) and that your pistons+rings are in good condition. otherwise you take a risk on damaging your motor. if i were you.... i would buy a 3s-gte head and bolt it on along with the turbo. you will be much happier with the power. but again you need to make sure the bottom end is in good order before you slap any extra ponies in there!!!!

It is the same head already, just need to put the turbo manifold on it. I got 18WHP out of my head work, but got bad blow-by issues now (blowing 1qt of oil out the tailpipe every 300ish miles). I got 1mm oversized valves, custom crower cams, shimless buckets, custom hi-rev valve springs, port/polish.
