Temp Sensor

Anyone know where the sensor is that drives the temp gauge in the cluster? I'm trying to figure out if it's the gauge or the sensor. The gauge doesn't work most the time. Also I'm having a serious problems with my cooling system. So if my gauge doesn't work, I can't tell if I'm overheating or not.

The problem I'm having with the cooling system is that there is no pressure at all ever. Now when all cars are at normal running temp, there should be pressure in the system. Well for my 92 Celica GTS, there isn't any ever. I'll squeeze the raditor hose and it won't he hard at all. It is hot but no pressure. I'll drive out of town for hours without any problems. Since my gauge doesn't work, I don't know if it's over heating. But I've been driving it so long like this, it should have bust or something if it was overheating. And I'm sur there's no leak in the coolant. It's always at the top of the radiator when I check it. So the pressure lost can't be due to a leak. What could it be guys?

The main water temp sensor is located on the rear side of the water outlet (aluminum thing below the throttle body with 3 other plugs in the front).

As for the pressure part your car may have a faulty thermostat witch might be stuck open or the radiator cap is done with.

There must ba a leak, even small leak will cause that and you won't see and coolant cause they dry fast when they're hot. Check all the hose for green powders. Or just replace all of them, they're 13 yrs old anyway.
The gauge sensor is gray plug with one wire, probably on water neck for top hose.

Thanks for the help. I'll take a look at the plugs. I'll be checking for leaks too. I have a new cap. One thing did happend though. If you guys are fimiliar with the 5sfe, I had a leak in the gasket of the water pump. I had to scrape all the gasket crap away. I installed the water pump with sealant. Then I notice that it would still leak. I took another look and noticed that the water didn't even bolt directly to the block. There's like some metal plate there that moves around a bit. I just put some sealant between the block and the plate, then some sealant between the plate and the water pump. Maybe that's where the leak is.

lcarocha, I didn't see a sensor on the rear side of the water outlet. All there is is just three sensors on top, top radiator hose, small hose on the bottom, and two hoses in the rear going to the heater.

Pineappe, there is a grey connector on top of the water outlet, but it has two wires.
