Carburator glass sight leaking fuel?

i've just acquire a 81 Celica GT 5 speed with all these option(Cruise Control, Sunroof, AC, old 8 track with EQ), its a rebuilt engine from previous owner like 2 yrs ago- Okay for the probs: I know the car needs major tune up and the Carb had many unplug vaccum hoses. I check the Carb and looked at the fuel level on sight glass and notice fuel is leaking from the glass after I ran for a bit. So what I did is messing with another carborator laying in the trash from a 4ac because it had the same glass sight and started to unscrew, pull the glass and found a seal gasket. Can I just use rtv seal so it won't leak for a lifetime?? Or do I need to replace that little gasket seal?

-Thanks

Yosan

I think the leak is just a sign that you need to get rid of your stock carb and get a weber 32/36 or a weber 38.
