5th gen fuel help...

OK, so here it goes.

Went and got gas, removed cap from tank and I heard a HUUUUGE WOOOOOSH of air being sucked into the tank, never really thought much of it.

Drove to a friends house, smelled gas enroute.

Parked on the side of the road, left car runing, opened hood, Gas running out from under the charcoal cannister, both from directly under the cannister and from the little drain tube that exits right onto the lower control arm. Im talking as if you turned on a tap.

WTF is going on ?

hel pme out here, please.

P.S.... Got home, checke dit out, no gas running out. So its only right after I put fuel in.

Thats a strange one alright. Plugged canister is what comes to mind first but that only a guess.
I know the less gas I have in the tank the bigger the woosh when opening the cap. I wonder if you have been changing extreme altitude in your recent driving creating excessive vacuum and causing gas to go out the wrong way kind of like when you siphon something.
like i siad I am just guessing.
Good Luck and maybe it was a one time thing.
