I have a 1981 Sunchaser with 115,000 miles. It lived in Myrtle Beach, then Washington, DC for years and the salty air and on the roads have caused some rust in wheel wells and trunk. It was restored in 1999 and the belts, hoses, etc were replaced in 2005. It was parked in the garage that year and there she still sits. If you're interested in restoration, I'd be glad to sell you my baby for $3000. I'm located in San Antonio. From my experience, the Celica will start after sitting for years...she sat once for three years and turned right over with a jump. If you or anyone you know is interested, please post on this space for me. I always believe that Sunchasers are a good investment, so if you're doing the work yourself -- you're likely to make a profit -- that is, if you don't fall in love with it and keep it! I am a disabled, retired vet and can't get in and out of the car is why it's for sale... EH
