Anyone know about a 7AFE celica engine?

I have a 94 Celica ST. To me i feel no difference in the GT's but the higher top speed.
Is there any way for me to make this car RUN?!? as in killing those honda's?
I feel that this car can really punch if it had some upgrades. It has good torque but sucks after 90.

Three options, 4A swap, 7AFTE, or N/A upgrade with nitrous. Either way you're looking at $2,000-$4,000. Also what kind of ST did you drive that could keep up with a GT, there's a bit of a power difference there.

The alltrac tranny is AWD, you need either the GT tranny or the MR2 turbo tranny (Solara 5-speed) tranny.

I'm doing this swap next month actually.

K20's suck. Period. Go LS/VTEC. As for the Celica, you should do a 3S-GTE swap. Forget a show car. There's hardly any fun in that.

there is so much more out there for the 3sgte than that 1.6L engine. you could even swap that v6 camry engine in and super charge it, for the price of lambo doors...

show car < booooooost

i didnt think the space under the hood would fit a v6 from a camry, i have no expertise whatso ever when it comes to cars so i could be way off but that was my understanding.

but if it is possible, would that be a better route to go with a v6 and a supercharger over a 3-sgte. just curious.

you could do it, would require custom work though. problem with it, is there really aren't any mods to be had after you sc it. but you'd be surprised what can fit under the hood, there are pics around of some aussie that stuck a v8 t/t in an alltrac... probably did some frame and firewall too though.

so does that mean its possible to put a 2jz in it...as long as your willing to pay for them to make the room under the hood. and if so, what do you figure it would cost and what type of power could i get from my celica..

pulling numbers out of my ass probably 10 grand or more. you'd be capable of making more power than any fwd system can handle, and need a new set of tires every week.

honestly i dont know. if you even are considering this it is time to move to a different drivetrain/platform.

if you are dead set on doing this to a celica get an alltrac and either play it awd or get a different tranny and rwd.
