widest tire on stock rims

can u help me find a wider/lower profile tire for the stock 15" rim on a 99 celica liftback? can't buy wheels/wraps this year but find the tires narrow. 215s or 225s possible?

I have 225/50 on my stock 15'... looks fuuny though cause the tread is way wider than the rim

Nope... no trouble mounting the tire and I did get a little rubbing agains the fender but that was solved after I changed my shocks that were completly shot.
Here is a pic with the tires (front one) as you can see is not much noticeable.

it looks pretty good. maybe i,ll go with a wide tyre after all. hope i can find a lower profile in the width i need. BTW how is the weather in Caracas? spring has finally arrived here after 5 weeks of rain drizzle and fog and 5 degree temps.

Pouring cats and dogs every single day if you add that up to some 30C weather some days you get about a 110% Humidity witch pretty well sucks. Thanks God for A/C
