I'm looking at buying a 1989 GTS with a blown engine. What engine comes in that car? Is it any different than a GT engine? I was hoping to get a JDM engine.

The 89 GT-S comes with the not well known 3S-GE engine, which is similar to the 3S-FE, but a true twin cam, with a wider head to allow wider valve angles. But they don't share a lot of parts, and finding an engine is a lot harder.

I have a spare engine from rebuilding mine in my shed if you really want one, but shipping from Edmonton Alberta would get kinda pricey!
