This is Jerry Hoffmann of DIYAutoTune.com-- I just signed up as a vendor here so you'll see my banner flying soon.

I'm running the MS1 hardware with MSnS-E firmware for full standalone EMS functionality (fuel and spark) on my 1986 MR2. I totally ditched the factory ECU and the restrictive AFM. The best part is that it's a near PnP implementation on the MKI MR2 NA Manual - I could be back on the factory ECU and AFM in 10 minutes if I wanted to.

Jamesl from the www.mr2oc.com forums pioneered the PnP wiring harness jumper for the MR2 and I know it's been used on other Toyota's as well (87 pickup with 22re). Here's a link to his doc that I used for my install: http://members.cox.net/jdlaugh/index...figuration.doc

This implementation or something very similar should be possible on any Toyota with VAST ignition. You'd just want to compare wiring diagrams and make any needed adjustments. And of course take your time and do your homework first... I've only used these instructions on my MR2 at this point so I can't speak with firsthand knowledge about using it on other Toyota's.

I've bought a kit from you and it seems to be well put together. I haven't been through it yet as that swap will be taking place in about a month. It's going on a 4AGE silvertop that's going into a Corolla SR5.
