1981 22r overheating solutions

okay so i dont have a celica. I drive an 81 corona. But the engines are the same, i think. Its a 22r. Its got about 1300 miles on it and when i push the car to 100mph it the temp shoots pretty high. I know this is to be expected, but is there anyway around this? Im afraid of effing the head up. I forgot to install the heat shield when I was putting the engine in and I assume that would be adding to the engine temperature. I also have a small exhaust leak through one of the manifold studs that stripped. I was just wondering if there was an easy solution to keeping the temp down, maybe a different radiator? Electric fans? Appreciate your help.
