I'm new to the toyota nation forum and had a question regarding water pump replacement on a 94 1.8L celica. I don't know all that much about celicas since it is my girlfriend's car. I work on mostly domestic V8's. Anyway, how hard is it to replace the water pump? Any special tools needed?

pulley puller. you might need to take some vice to the tensioner, if it is hydraulic.
be sure to mark the timing belt whhen you take it off, so you won't have to mess with the timing...
if you're replacing the timing belt too (which you should) you'll need access to a timing gun.
