5sfte dyno results!

hey guys, hardly ever post here, but figured you'd all like to see this.
i finally finished up installing my 5sfte setup last week, and made it do the dyno yesterday.
things went really well, now i just need bigger injectors. lol
the basic setup consists of:
94 celica GT with a 98 5sfe
ATS ct-27 46 trim
3"dp & exhaust with magnaflow race muffler
315cc injectors
SAFCII
MSD BTM to be installed in the next couple days
heres a link to a compilation i made of a few of the runs:

heres the dyno file

Cool

That's leaner than I would want considering all the camry 5s-fte's that have melted pistons or rings due to mechanical, or tuner error.

<enters water injection> I'll save you!

Awsome job tho. I bet that little celica can move out now!

guys, ithing you have the wrong impression. this is not your avarage "throw some parts at the engine and hope it works" setup. we're talking new turbo, manifold dp injectors the whole 9
ALL stainless lines, egt gauge, oil pressure, 26x6x3 bar & plate intercooler..its all there..
running about 8psi, creeps up to about 9 in the high rpms without a HINT of detonation, with good egt's
this is also a '98 block, metal headgasket, under 60k
as far as the fuel curve, it is a "bit" lean in the low end, but that will be taken care of soon, new, bigger injectors are on the way, im pretty much maxing out the 315cc supra injectors right now.
anymore naysayers??
hahaha you guys are funny shit.

have you guys ever seen a stock 5s dyno sheet? it runs pretty damn lean already...after 3500rpm, its actually much richer than stock.
as far as 7psi is concerned, i think you guys also keep missing the fact that this is a 98 block, with a stock metal headgasket, also has more webbing than the earlier blocks. god, cant wait too see what you all have to say when i come back with the new injectors and 225whp!

I really like what youve done. I'm not a naysayer, nor do I think I had the wrong impression.
Just trying to give some free advise (You know free advise is the worst kind right!? )

No, I don't think I had the wrong impression. 12.5-1 A/F most of the time on boost. I'd be fine running that with water injection, but I'd have that bitch in the 11's for safety without it. I'm not a pussy, I'm smart!

If you've got forged pistons, and new, bitchen rings, that's great. Probably wouldn't hurt that engine for a long long time, or some over the top abusive driving.

Why water injection? I wrote a thing about it in the camry forum a few weeks back.
In a nutshell, NACA found way back in the day that they could make more power without knocking at a 15-1 A/F ratio, and substituting 20% of fuel for water then they could at a straight 10-1 A/F ratio. Water, or water/ethanol injection adds a margin of error against lean-outs that is nearly incomprehencible till you see the data!

Seriously, I wasn't trying to bash your car man. I just don't want you to have turbo boost in your crankcase.

same here, im definately not a naysayer. good work. but someone back me up on this one, webbing on the block doesnt do crap for your rods and pistons. i would have went with the 93 block for the forged stock internals. although im not sure of the 98's either.

running lean on a stock engine is fine...when you run lean with 7psi on it...thats a different world together. do some searches man...weve had quite a few casualities in the 5s world. dont neglict your fuel pump either man. (i dont know if you have one)

either way, awesome job keep us up to date

222gph walboro pump...pleanty of fuel to the rail.
11:1?
thats not safe, thats a waste.
in a turbo car you really want a 12.5 or so to 1 ratio.
guys, head over to www.celicatech.com in the 6gc forum. and read my writeup and whats involved in my setup
a 93 block, over a 98? are you nuts??

blocks dont mean shit to me bro internals do. 93s came stock with a forged crank and rods. that makes a big difference. little extra webbing on a block? its an open deck. give me forged internals!

Why buy a CT27??? 200whp could have easily been attained without spending $1,000 on a upgraded CT26.
