Heating sytem stuck on recirculated air

I'm new here. So, please forgive my ignorance if I fail some kind of protocol...

I've got a 1990 GT. The electronic button to switch between fresh and recirculated air is broken. The system is stuck in recirculated mode. Is there any way to get it switch back to fresh air, without having to tear the dash apart to replace the switch?
