hey, just got a celica

thought id see whats up on the celica side of this forum... i just got an 88alltrac, its one fun car... but you guys know that im sure... il get pics up soon. i was also wonering if there are anythings in particular that i have to be careful with in this car, or is everything fairly reliable...

hah... reliable...
don't slack off on the oil changes. don't boost more than 14 psi. if you modify it DO buy another car for daily driving. and check out alltrac.net

They can be very reliable just as long as you take care of the maintenance.
Some of the ST165 problem areas are: rear diff mount, heater control panel, antenna, wheel bearings, power steering high pressure line, turbo housing cracking (exhaust side)...and the usual stuff that goes on a 17-year-old car. I did all the work on my 165 and it's been a solid daily driver for me.
