"wot can be done to the engine to increase mid range power"

"how can i uprate the brakes"
brembo cross drilled, steal braided brake lines

cf everything, and take out what you dont need.

"and lastly i have a bit of a flat spot between 3000-4200 rpm with no idea wot it could be. "

which car would you like to bring the bigger brakes from? the GT-S was one of the only toyota's of it's time with all wheel discs!

If you search around this forum and other forums you will find most of the answers to what you are looking for and more.

For instance, that flat spot is probably the T-Vis system sticking (look under your hood at the intake manifold for the chrome looking tag that says "T-VIS"), this system has butterfly valves that open and close at various rpm ranges to increase horsepower and torque. Hit it with a bunch of seafoam cleaner to loosen them up...
