Fuel injector removal

I am getting ready to take out the injector rail and send the injectors in for the ultrasonic cleaning and new o-rings treatment.
My Factory manual has me taking off the throttle body and a few more parts than the Hanyes says I have to. Either way it looks like a pain. Have any of you done this and what's your advice?
Thanks!

you dont "need" to remove any of that, though doing so makes the job easier, you can remove the 2 bolt sholding the rai on without removing anything else and there is enough room to flip the rail over so you an remove the ijectors.

Well I got them out and did not have to remove the throttle body. I did not get to do too much else done because a swarm of bees decided to build a hive right where I was working. I did get them shipped out for ultrasonic cleaning and new o-rings though. The volt meter checked them at 14.4 to 14.0 ohms so that is good.
Hope this helps my hard warm start problem and maybe even the engine light problems.

Witchhunter.com just emailed and my injectors were within 7% of one another and did not leak. So there was nothing wrong with them. He replaces the o-rings etc anyway. Pretty good I pulled and shipped them Saturday and this is Monday and he has them done and will Priority mail them out to me tomorrow.
Only problem is I will still have code 6 2 and 7 1 I imagine.
So far I have replaced an oxygen sensor and the map sensor. Checked for opens on the cold start and throttle body part.
I may still have some oil leaking from the distributer which means a rebuilt may be in my future.
The mystery continues.

Got them today.
Put them in and had one leak, my bad. I was able to loosen the rail and remove the leaker and saw that I had got the o-ring in wrong but was able to salvage it and now it does not leak.
now I have a 2 2 EL code and noticed that a water temp connector is broken which would cause the code.
off to the salvage yard Saturday.

Actually 7% is enough to cause issues with the computer controlled cars now. I have seen OBDII systems that were throwing misfire codes, having idle, and driveability issues with injectors with a <5% flow mismatch.

Good luck,
