Bucking Celica

HI,

I have this recent problem with my 1988 celica gt. It has a 3s-fe engine with 160 K on it and a manual trani as well. Not always, but most often the car bucks when I put it into gear normally. It drives like I just learned how to drive stick. However, this is not the case. The bucking can be overrided by pushing in the clutch slightly and easing it into gear a second time. The car does not buck if you floor it, just when you drive norlmally. Please help.

I recently had the same thing happen and it turned out to be a bad oxygen sensor and map sensor or so I was told. Got a map sensor at the salvage yard. It could be a vaccum leak or a tranny related issue such as low or no gear oil.
