How much slack in throttle cable

I am thinking that after 150k miles that the throttle cable may have stretched plus I have had it off a couple of times doing other work on the car. The symptoms are a jerk or hesitation when I accelerate. Example; in a turn I am in second gear and let off as I go into the turn and step on the gas coming out and it jerks before "catching".
The cable has some slack in it when the engine is cold but I have not checked it out when it is warm.
I see some other things to check on the throttle control sensor etc but thought maybe it just was stretched a tad.

Mine has 210.000 Km on it and the cable is Ok, no slack whatsoever, I think there is some way of adjusting it but I cant picture the assembly in my head at the moment...

Check for slack when engine is running. The throttle is partialy open when engine si not running. Slack is about 1mm movement.
