You're still lacking 40hp from the original request of 200. But that is a very good suggestion. It's also available with a 6speed. I believe a 20valve would also be in the same range.

lol we could go back and forth on this subject for months!!!!! you are right that is about 40hp under what he wanted.... but if he took off the super charger and put a turbo on it.... he could run upwards of 15-17psi and still have it reliable. thoes motors can hold some serious boost numbers. i still think...buying a ST....swapping to the 4agze.....and putting a turbo(instead of the supercharger) would be less money than buying the gt or gts......and swapping in the 3sgte. the gt and gts's are generaly more money... and the 3sgte motor is more expensive than the 4agze. if he were looking for a motor that had HUGE potential not to mention 200hp stock and money wasnt an issue i would deflinatly go with the 3sgte but that is not the case.

Tercel GTS, just to clarify, the 6-speed only came on the later blacktop models, never the 4AGZE. You can get it with LSD though. (By the way, that's the E58 tranny which internally is the same as yours).

And, the 3SGTE will still be cheaper and easier to get to 200hp than installing a 4AGZE and THEN building a turbo system for it.

The stock 3SGTE ECU even has maps in it for 16 psi

(They're locked out unless you hack the ECU though.)

honestly. if you can boost a d series honda motor over 200hp you can boost a 7. its all in the tuning. get yourself a nice plx wideband or a zetronics. dont run an fmu. 200hp isint shit, that motor will take it. PS, you guys refrencing the amount of boost a motor can handle are retards. it depends on the size of the compressor housing and how many CFM's a turbo flows at a certine presure. if you threw a big fatty sc61 on a 3sgte and ran 15 psi its not going to be the same as that dinky ct26. also, ive seen 400hp made on a stock internal 3sge. NOT 3sgte. running mega squirt and a btm for retard. i made 300 on my 3sge at 13psi with an sc61 runing megasquirt. shit i made 230 on a d16z6 honda motor and thats open deck alumium block sohc thin rods and tin can pistons.... so some of you shouldent talk unless you've done it and have a clue 3sge's are a HELL of allot cheeper than 3sgte's too.
