91 MR2 parts fit a 95 celica??

Just wanted to know if a 91 mr2 n/a clutch will work with a 95 celica n/a?

Also are both motors and tranny the exact same? oil pan, sensors, flywheel?

The Celica had 2 NA engines.
5SFE and 7AFE.
The MR2 NA came with the 5SFE.

But, they are different revisions of the same engine.
So some of the parts are not interchangeable.
And even more, tho they bolt on, will not necessarily work correctly.

You can modify the transmission to work, I believe. At least for a 5th g.
Engine will bolt in, but is definilty not exactly the same.
The 91 doesn't have a knock sensor I believe. And the 95 should.
Different distributor/coil.
Wiring harness is different.
I don't know if the NA MR2 had a oil pan sensor, if so, you won't need it. Other than that, it should bolt up.

The knock sensor will probably be your biggest problem. With out it, the ecu will retard timing, which will kill your power.

But are the clutches interchangable? Also what about the 3sgte manifold. I have a guy that wants my 3sgte parts but he has a celica with the 5sfe. He is looking to turbo his car, and its a 95.

A 3sgte manifold bolts up to the 5sfe. That is the easiest way to do a 5sfte.

Yeah my mr2 was a 5sfe and i custom fabbed a turbo kit off a 3sgte for it and used 80% 3sgte parts. I been researching the 5sf't'e for about 2 years and know everythng possable. I blew the motor and selling everything off my 5sfe (turbo parts from 3sgte) and I have a spec stage 2 clutch in my car (91 mr2 n/a) and the this guy has a 1995 celica with the 5sfe and wants to know if my clutch will fit. He is turboing his 5sfe celica and wants to know if everything from my car will fit.

In that case, 99% should fit.
I don't believe the clutch will tho.
I know the input shaft is different.
