I guess you've pretty much decided not to get the AE86, heh? After hearing all the problems I've had with my car

I can't comment much on the old school ST165 Celicas.

Personally I'd get myself a AE92 GT-S if I didn't enjoy rear-wheel drive vehicles as much.. and if I didn't already have a winter beater (1991 Corolla sedan).

What I like most about the AE92 is that, I remember hearing quite some time ago, that a Levin conversion (Japanese front-clip + 4A-GZE motor) will cost you only $4000. Which honestly isn't too bad.

But I'm a Corolla freak, so it's better to get advice from someone who's owned a second hand ST165 Celica.

Good luck on deciding Shaun.

Thanks Shaun. Yes, I'm really dissapointed myself about the fact that the cylinder head was cracked on my car. Just bad luck I guess. It was probably why the previous owner sold it to me.. damn bastard hehehe

Yes, of course, there is a levin conversion for the AE92. I thought about doing the conversion but I favoured the AE86 for it's rear-wheel drive. I believe Andrew Lee told me it costs around $4000, everything inclusive.

It's a steal if you ask me. Here's a good comparision between the two AE92s:

The blue Levin DID belong to a person named Arthur. The car sounds magnificient with the 4A-GZE!!

Yup. My old celica was an '89/'90 ST165 (all trac) and my moms celica is a ST162 (GT-S) and I believe the ST168 is the race ready all trac/GT-FourRC or something like that.

It's an awesome car!
