2ZZ-GE Engine Drop

Think it'd be possible to drop a 2ZZ-GE Engine (7th Gen GTS Engine) into a 96 Celica?

Funny you should mention the 2ZZ-GE because on the side of
my 91 Camry front guards I have 2ZZ-GE2T on them !

Its a laugh 4 when a boy racer that knows his engine codes pullz
along side of me - Reads the spec & does a double take....

I added the 2T as a bit of showmanship, if yer gunna lie about the
motor, why not make it a Twin Turbo as well !

Would really love to stick a real 2ZZ-GE in the Camry though

Why not just go for a 3SGTE or 3SGE swap instead of the 2ZZGE?

Doesn't the T go between the G and the E, ie GTE instead of GE2T? But Toyota usually only does GTE whether twin or single turbo IIRC.

I believe the TT is just a Nissan Thing aka: RB26DETT

The TT 2J was just called 2JZGTE I think...

Yes, you're going to need to deal with the wiring and you'll need two or three custom engine mounts. The axles from the 2ZZ GTS will probably fit though. And so on...

But yeah, it's doable. Might as well get a 3SGTE though.

I don't think that fits in a FWD Celica unless you have the world's shortest FWD transmission.

Instead of a 2zz why not a 3SGTE?

The cost to get a 2ZZ in a 6GC will probably be more than a 3SGTE
