alright, well i have a 93 celica gts.. i was wondering if i can get any real power out of the 5sfe without turbo charging it and just running it all motor. any suggestions will be appreciated. thnx in advance
i got a 92 gts all i could suggest is light flywheel exhaust intake and motor work the normal things for a all motor job.im gonna make my gts a gt2 just easier on me and less money
High compression piston, P&P, custom cam shafts, lighten everything, stand alone ECU.
I'm building one, got 11.0:1 piston and P&P. Still looking for cams. Webcam have a set but I'm trying to see if I can find local in Toronto.
And yes, it'll be cheaper and more power with a 3S-GTE swap.
yeah i know the swap would be cheaper then doing all that, but thats what everyone has done, also 5sfte has been done too, im still pretty new to this site but i havent come across a thread where someone just went all motor and i would like to do that.. ive been thinking about the swap but if your talking cheaper, then turbo charging my 5sfe right now would be a lot cheaper right?

Yea turbo is cheaper and more protential in the long run.
NA will get you around 200HP for $3000-$5000.
Turbo will get you 400HP+ if you keep on spending.
This is the cost for my build, in canadian dollar:
Old Engine: $300
P&P and rebuild: $1500
11.0:1 piston: $800
Cams: $900 estimate
I'm lucky to get 200HP on crank.
A 3SGTE swap will get 200HP crank without mods and cost around $1500.
thanks for the help guys.. i guess im going to try just turbo charging my 5sfe, just to clarify ive heard that the 3sgte turbo manifold bolts on to the 5sfe.. is it a direct bolt on or will i have to make any mods?
alright thank you, could you also help me out with one more thing, could you list all parts i would need for the turbo kit, i know its on several threads here but i would just like one whole complete list so i can start my hunt for everything i would need, and also an estimated time of the install
