4th Generation S Series Tranny Recommendations

The third gear in my 89 Celica GT is crunched and I gotta pull the motor to do a cluthc job soon anyway. Can somebody recommend which 5-speed manual S series FWD tranny would be the best? Which is best for cruising? Which has the shortest gear ratios, or the highest final drive number? Does anybody have a listing of gear ratios?

3SFE Celica
3SFE Camry
3SGE Celica
5SFE Celica
5SFE Camry
Are there more?

I do believe they are all intercompatable, but which is the sportiest? I doubt the MR2 5SFE tranny would work well because it's in a RWD format. I imagine the 3SGE Celica tranny is the best. Can somebody list the codes of which trannies came in which cars? Thanks a lot.

Also will there be issues with the axles going from camry to celica? I guess I need axles that go with the tranny i choose...

Maybe I should just replace the 3SFE box with a direct replacement...

MR2 tranny works. They just move the whole thing to the rear. Many use the 6 spd LSD from turbo MR2 if they can find one.
I believe Solara V6 tranny bolt on also. I know someone with a 5th gen using that.

I would really like to know what the gear ratios rare of each of those transmissions as well. If someone got me the tranny codes, I could cross reference them and get the ratios.
