4th Generation 97 Celica GT - mods etc I can do?

Hey guys,

I'm the proud owner of a 1997 Toyota Celica GT in pristine condition. It's an automatic (i know i know), but I'd like to increase the horsepower a bit. It's been babied since before i got her. She only has 60,000 miles right now.

I'm looking for ideas for things to do to trick her out without making her look like a ricemobile.

Cold Air Induction is an idea, for a simple start. Make her sound nice. But if I'm going to do it what type should i do? What's best? And the more important question, who should i buy from that's reputable... or is this something i can piece together myself? It needs to look nice though so duct tape and pvc piping isn't an option! hehe.

Thanks for your input!

I have a 1994 GTS (5sfe) which I put a INJEN intake on and it sounds sick. It is a not to bad for price and comes with a heat shield for over the cone. It has a nice deep tone to it.

I also bought newer celica gts rims (5 spoke) and I think they look pretty good on the car, not too flashy.

You should probably join up to www.6gc.net they have a ton of information

Welcome!
Definitely, you can make one yourself.
You can get a cheap piping from eBay and replace crappy generic filter with in a good one.
K&N is cheap and does a pretty good job.
