I have a 1999 Camry. This problem came up recently.
I pull the remote fuel filler lever in the car BUT the fuel filler door does NOT open.
The fuel filler door is broken -- in order to open it, I must pull on the remote fuel filler door lever -- then wedge something in the lever to keep it pulled open.
Then I exit the car, go to the fuel filler door and stick a credit card in the gap -- this will allow me to open the door.
Someone had mentioned a "V" shaped thing in the door, but I did not understand.
Your advice is welcomed.
