What kind of supercharger are you going with? RIPP stopped production and they were way more expensive than a turbo setup anyway, you cannot easily do a roots style setup and the tuning on that would be a nightmare from all the heat the supercharger puts out.
No matter what tuning the 5s-fe isn't going to be easy, there is some universal aftermarket that is useful but nothing is a direct bolt-on.
With a supercharger you will run into belt slip and lag. With a nice t3 turbo you might run into lag. Both of these just get worse the more power you want to make.
