4th Generation Final verdict

Here is the final verdict of all this. Had the tires mounted. They are Goodyear Eagle ResponsEdge 215-50-17. Had to change it from Goodyear Assurance Tripletread because the latter closest size is 205-50-17.

The shot of the whole car

Front wheel well

Rear wheel well

Here are the issues I've encountered with this setup. Had to use spacers in the rear because of the tires. Couldn't find a cap from toyota that can fit a 2" center cap hole. might go with a blank cap and a toyota sticker. Front hole is another story. The hub with the threaded part sticks out about 1/4" or a little bit more. Maybe just leave it as is with the center cap. Was it scepter or somebody with an IS300 rim that rub in the front wheel well when making full turn. Same thing here. I guess the extra width rubs the plastic liner as well as the rubber material that covers the well.

All in all it was good. This is my first aftermarket rim purchase and although its not cheap (tire wise) I am satisfied with the performance of it. The slight turn to the left is gone. I guess after 80,000 miles, the old tire are a little off. The tires are very quiet except for going over road reflectors which makes a thud. Hugs well at 60+ mph. Still have to break them in at freeway speed to see how they handle and when slowing down. I still have a month to try them and if I'm not satisfied, I can return them a get something else but only goodyear tires. Good deal from them.

I'm still looking for caps to fit front and rear. If anybody has information or ideas, please chime in. Thanks again.
