Question 89 van brake mastercylider replace

Anyone know how to replace the brake master cylinder? how long should it take a shop,any opinions/answers?

Go to yotavans.org and look under tips and tricks.
The complete factory service manual is there to be downloaded for free.
From there you can decide if you want to take this on are have someone else do it. It can still be helpfull to calculate the time.

I think you are better off attempting to replace the master cylinder yourself before going to a shop. The master cylinder is located right behind your cluster panel. So for starters you will need to partially remove the entire upper half of the dash. I think the real pain will be bleeding the system after the master installation.

If his pedal is lossing pressure, that's a garantee master cylinder replacement, bleeding the system won't solve his problem. He will need to bleed the system once he replaces the master cylinder
