Australia Vaccum lines on 1984 Hiace 3Y engine

Hi, I have just bought an '84 Hiace Commuter van which is running fairly well with 227000kms on the clock. However as soon as I hit a gradient the power dioes and I have to change down several gears to keep going. I have noticed that the vacuum line going to the distributor is missing, the only other thing I can find that has a missing tube is a double-vacuum unit attached to the carb. Can anyone send me a photo of a 3Y engine showing the layout of the vacuum tubes please. I have the Gregories workshop manual but even this does not show how they go!

i have a 3yec in my 85 van but is fuel injected. put the hose going into the distribuitor,. that is to advance the spark. that explains the slughiss performance as you floor the pedal.
i can take a picture of my distribuitor. where do i send it to?

hi my friend here is a quick solution if you have the distrubutor with the two pipes ,you will see on the carburetor there is two vacuum advance pipes the easiest way is to let your van idle then take each pipe one at a time .one pipe should have constant suction while the van is idleling normal that pipe goes on the pipe on the distributor closest to your radiator the other pipe on the carby should only increase its suction when you start increasing your revs that pipe goes on the pipe on the dizzy closer to the dizzy cap. that should sort you out.
