Toyota Spacia???

Hey all,

I know its a 93 model, but i can't find any information on my Toyota Spacia at all. So I'm wondering if anyone on here can point me in the right direction, or might be able to help me.

My problem is that the cigarette lighter doesn't work. When i hold it in nothing happens (it doesn't heat up) I'm hoping to use this to charge my phone but their doesn't seem to be any power coming out. I have changed the fuse with a working one. But still no joy.

How easy is it to remove the current cigarette lighter socket, and replace with a new one?. Any help on this, (or places to look online) would be much appreciated.

Cheers Matt

And the key was in the "On" position? A lot of mid-'80s and newer cars require the key to be in the "On" position for the cigarette lighter to work.

Hey thanks for gettin back to me.

Yeah I have tried the lighter whilst the key is in the "on" position and whilst on the move. I took out the ashtray which is pretty close by, to look at the wiring to try and follow it but couldn't really tell where it went. I'm thinking of taking off the dash to get a better look at it. Or might try find an auto electric guy an get him to try a test light on it an see if thier is power going to the socket. Will let you know how I get on, if you can think of anyhi else that might help that would be pretty good. Cheers, matt

Might be time for you to get your own VOM and a 12V test light. They come in handy!
