Ice maker..... how rare of an item is this in the 84-89 vans

I am usually a Previa guy, but I was in a salvage yard a couple days ago and came across a 84 van that had everything in it... even the ice maker and ice cube trays. Is this a common item for the pre Previa van? They never put them in the Previas.. at least in the US model... european models they were common....

Oh yeah the ice makers....they had them hooked up to the refrigerant lines of the Van. Not sure how rare they were, it was an option, but it's cool to think that the old vans came with dual sunroofs even.

They weren't as rare as you think. Many ppl bought the fully loaded vans which all had the ice makers.
A/C problems were numerous in the northern states due to road salt. The horizontal condenser and cooling fans collected a lot of corrosion.

Boy, did they suck in snow!
