2 cars with identical programs, one car flares and and the other doesn't... seems more like a mechanical issue. The programming is a patch trying to fix it. But what's wierd is that with a new tranny, it still happens. So obviously there's variances in how trannys are built.
Here's yet a third variation however. My car DOES hold the 3-4 shift a little longer when cold but I DO get the flare. Hmmmm.....

I'm scheduled to go in Tuesday to get the TSB done.
