You will fill up at the pump a lot less. I think that is advantageous and each dollar you save on gasoline can go to charity (if you got it like that). The LS600h L also has more advanced technology than other Lexus sedans such as a driver monitoring system. In other words, they built this car on advanced technology. It is only fitting that they also provide the "best engine technology in the world" (when gas mileage and power are taken into consideration). It's better for the environment and is a beast at the same time.
If you are rich and can afford it, it makes perfect sense IMO.
EDIT: I must admit that I can't see myself dishing out that much dough for a car even if it is worth it and I have the money.
