To those of you who've stuck after market alarms into your Matrix, where did you have the LED placed?

For those with the factory security, you can just wire up the factory LED so you don't have to drill another hole in the dash...

That's where I've been thinking of putting it. I was just looking to see if anyone else stuck it there or if there were any problems with that location.

I think the only problem would be if the LED is bigger than the height of that little piece. It'll look like @$$ if it is. Measure and compare first!

That is true. Most LED's require you to drill a 1/4" hole. But, the other problem is that it's not on a flat surface. Even if you are able to drill the hole w/out slipping, it may look funny cause of the curve of that "button".

That little piece should be replacable, though, if it does look bad, right?

Yeah. If you screw up they should be able to sell you a new tab.

Anyhow, I think a better spot for the LED is over by the glass hatch release button. There's a mini coin holder beside it and on mine I have the factory LED on the 3rd part and there is a blank 4th.

I hope you know what I'm talking about. Check it out.
