I don`t have a Matrix yet, but will be buying one in january. im going to get a Matrix XRS. I have a few questions and I hope you guys can help me out with some answers. I like the Matrix body style a lot, the only thing I don`t like about it is the new style bumper on the front that the 05-06 models have, is it possible to chang the front bumper back to a 03-04 style front end ?. I was also wondering about the short throw shifter thats available for the Matrix, is it a good upgrade thats worth doing or not ?, last question for now, does TRD make a supercharger for the XRS ?.

The front bumpers between 03/04 and 05/06 are swappable.

There's 2 short shifters available. One from TRD. The other from TWMPerformance. The concensus is that the TWM is way better. Downside is that it's more expensive. I haven't had the chance to try out the TRD but I've tried it on a fellow local's and it is extremely short throws. I'd love to get one but can't justify paying over $200US for it. It's roughly $250US.

Toyota DOES make a supercharger for the 2ZZ-GE but unfortunately only available in the limited edition European Corolla (T-Sport) Compressor.

Thanks for the information, so does anybody make a supercharger for the Matrix XRS ?, if not, then what about nitrous ?, what performance upgrades do you guys recomend ?, any links to web sites would help. this will be my first import so im trying find out what all can be done to these cars and were to buy things.
Does anybody make a chrome mesh grill for an 04 Matrix ?.
