Burning the harness from a 9005 to 9006 socket

Hello yall, i had a quick question in regards to my headlights. i have an 03 trix XRS and was planning on putting yellow 9005's in my low beams and my foglights, both which only take 9006. N E ways, i was gonna do the 9005 to fit the 9006 socket but b4 i do that, i was wondering if anyone has done it on their trix and if they experienced any problems or melting because of the more power consuming bulbs. Any help would be appreciated!
