Canada Installing electric windows

Hi,

Just out of curiosity. I'm a newbie when it comes to installing gadgets/ electronic parts on a car.

I would like to purchase a used 2004 Matrix. If the car doesn't have electric windows, would it be possible to install some? If so, where could I purchase the kit?

Prices are so high in Montreal to buy a Matrix that I'm wondering if I could buy a standard one and boost it up a bit. I just want the electric windows and auto-door lock. If not, I'll go with a new 2006 STD and forget about those options.

Thanks for the help.

Personally, I'd save myself the hassle and just find one that already has power windows/doors.

Installing electric windows is hard, at least on my Buick Century.

Pay the extra $$ for an XR.

It's not standard on the base model.

Thanks for the info.

After a few minutes of maths, I'll be better off leasing a brand new XR 2006 for 4 years and afterward buying it in 3 years. It will be a new car, with less mileage than a used one, where it will start around 75-80k of mileage.

Neat car, but I'm so amazed how the used Matrixes can be very pricey.

Cheers!
