I want to know everything about it, engine designation, transmission (it is an auto, 5 spd i believe) and little quirks. I have already noticed that snow and ice very easily gets inside the wheels and throws the damned car into a horrible shake at 55+...cause with no snow it isnt there.
So any comments/suggestnions/things to watch out for?
Gas Mileage:26 mpg city / 31 mpg hwy
Engine/s:1.8L I4, 16 valve, 123@6000hp
Transmission:4 speed Automatic
not bad. got some good punch. VVTI- good low end rpm torque, good high rpm horsepower. VVTI- good on gas. IM sure you know the stock radio, headlights, etc are very good.
You should of gotten a scheduled maintenance guide for every 5K miles. Follow that schedule and you will have no problems with the car. DOnt shift like a manual (low to 2 to drive). You can shift to 2 and low going up and down steep hills also take od off for this, otherwise keep it in drive at all times. Less wear and tear on tranny. Dont rev past 5500 rpms at all times. Reving higher is hard on the car. If you ever get stuck in a snowbank dont keep shifting to reverse and drive like a manual. You will break your tranny doing this.
Just follow the maintenace guide and keep it clean, dont abuse it and it will last you a very long time. :-)
Congrats on the new car BTW. excellent choice. Have fun with her!
123 HP at 6000 RPM (its 7600 actually according to KBB) isn't good high end power, sorry. The torque in these cars sucks too (118 ft/lb @ 4400 RPM), especially at the low end. These numbers at probably at the crank too so the WHP will be less. You won't win any racing titles but that's not what the AWD is for.
The 1ZZ engine has VVT-i (variable valve timing - intelligent), which means the engine can vary the valve timing to allow it to both run at higher revs and to have good torque at lower revs. The 2ZZ engine has VVTL-i (... and lift ...). The lift is the ability at high revs to open the valves longer (open earlier, close later) and further.
