3sgte matrix 4wd

What do you guys think of a 3sgte eng. and trans. in a 4wd matrix? Has it been done? Are the output for axles at the same place? Are tha engine suport at the same place? There would obliviously lot ofd wiring to do but that not a concern.Tell me what you think!

I'm going to be doing that this summer, hopefully. I have a 2004 AWD Matrix and an All-Trac Celica as a donor car. It's going to be a lot of work and I think the least of my concerns is output and axles. It's not super easy making an automatic a manual!!

it's just an immense amount of work - its a full rewire - custom mounts/axels/driveshaft

you'd have a 6th gen celica that carries more and handles less

in the end would it really be worth it - the AWD as a chassis just has 0 support... you'd be the only person in the whole world who's ever done anything to it

you can pickup a 90's impreza for 1000$ and be happier

They've done this sort of swap in the UK and Australia on their 9th gen Corolla/Matrix as well as a 7th gen Celica. Lookup the Fensport Corolla and Celica.

Tremendous about of fabrication was needed, but they got some killer numbers from the 3SGTE. I think they ended up selling both their project cars - not sure what they got for them, $40K?

That price is downright cheap for a 700+hp turbo Celica with 4WD that will do 200mph.

It's in British pounds so with currency conversion that will work out to a little under $70K USD.
