Steering Wheel Horn Cover Removal

OK, dumb question here, my nephew dropped a quarter into a slot on the steering wheel (horn/airbag cover). I can hear it in there when I turn the wheel. Is there a safe/easy way to remove the cover so I can get the coin out? Without getting the airbag to implode into my face??!

I have a 2005 Matrix XR.

Thanks!

Here's the steering wheel from the manual. Not 100% sure but it looks like the horn button assembly can be removed by 2 torx screws on either side.
