Wear on Inside Front Pads of XRS?

I just put about 5,000 miles on my used 2005 XRS with 32,000 total miles.

I had to replace the front brakes. The outside pads probably had 2/3 left or more, but the inside pads were gone. Also, the outside of the rotors had a normal sweep pattern, but the inside had contact with only about 1/3 of the normal swept area. The rest was pitted and corroded. It was not even close to even wear. Now I know why this car had what I would consider poor braking performance.

Has anyone seen this before? I was thinking that maybe this car sat on the lot a long time before I bought it.

The new brakes are plain brembo rotors with hawk pads.

It sounds like the inner brake pads are stuck and only partially contacting the rotor. Make sure when the brake job is complete that everything will move as required and the slide post are lubricated so that the caliper can slide.

I was looking for Brembo blanks a few mths ago. I ended up just going OEM w/ KVR pads. Do you remember what the Brembo rotors are?

The only thing I've heard similar to partial pad contact was one of the big brake kits for the Matrix. I can't recall which one but I'll find out.
