I searched the forum and didn't find an answer. I have an 05 XRS and I'm thinking about needing a trailer hitch to haul a small boat (less than 1500lbs - I know). The thing is, I have that so called spoiler (stock) on the back, that goes around the exhaust. Is it still possible to put a hitch on that?

Yes. There's a handful of local guys that have hitches on their XRS. It's located lower than the rear spoiler.

Go to www.hiddenhitch.com and do the search by vehicle. For the matrix it will give two options, with and without the optional spoiler. When you click on the one with the spoiler it even shows a picture of one installed. I have the spoiler on my 04 XR and I got this hitch and it was easy to install (it bolts into threaded holes that are already there in the Matrix frame, just for this purpose) and fits great.
