Keyless Entry Question

I don't know if mine has keyless entry since I bought it used and keep forgetting to ask the salesman. I think it does and whoever traded it never left the FOB for it. Can anyone tell me how I would be able to tell without buying a FOB and then finding out it doesn't have keyless entry and wasting money? Thanks...BTW it is a 2003 Matrix XR

I'm am pretty positive the XR has power door locks as a standard feature. It is also standard for the XRS. For the base model, it is optional.

You can score a Toyota key fob on eBay between $10-20 and program it yourself to work w/ your car.

I had this similar situation with a used car that I bought back in the day. I ended up calling the lot where I bought the car and asked them if it came with a FOB. They said that none were turned in with the car, but they gave me the name and number of the previous owner. He was happy to turn them over to me, since of course he didn't need them anymore.

Maybe this strategy would work for you as well.

it probably does, but you can call you dealer with the VIN, and they can tell you for sure.
