Question Short Sun Visor

The sun visor is short. When its swung towards the door window to block out the sun its too short and the evening sun shines in. Any idea what to do. I called Toyota for an extendable one which they do not make and tried the extra sun visors from PepBoys and AutoZone but those plastic gadgets do not help at all as they will not fit in the Matrix practically.
Any idea how I can extend the driver side Sun Visor? for Toyota trying to cut corners at reducing costs. So incovenient
.

They are extenable. Just pull on it. You'll see. Or at least mine is but didn't know until someone pointed it out to me.

I haven't noticed this problem... The problem I have with my visor is that there's no in between, they're either fully open (against the window) or fully closed (against the roof liner), if I try in the middle, they will just pop to the fully open position?
