06 vs 07

I looking to purchase a new or good used Matrix or Vibe. One with a 5 speed, a 6 Disc Changer and Extra Value Pkg #2 if possible. Does anyone have an idea of what changes there may be on an 07 model versus the 06's??? TIA

07 changes are neglible at most since the Matrix is slated for a change in 08.

And thats the exact same configuration that my matrix has. Feel free to pm me about the car. And some advice: get the XRS, unless you dont mind the "slugishness" of the 1zz.

Because the 08 model (available in September 07), will have a serious redesign (new engine, bigger body, etc...), you may want to hold back.

I actually like the 2006 design. If it was any bigger, it'd look more like an SUV than a wagon...

Rumour has it they'll be dropping the 2zz Maybe they'll put the 286HP 3.5 in it's place with a 6 speed tranny. Now that would be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Well thank you everyone for your replys. I just bought a 04 XR, 5 sp, Cosmic Blue, with alloys and sun roof. It's got 37k miles on it. I'm really looking forward to it. Now for an exhaust system and some new tires.

I'm in Marietta. I'm really looking forward to this car. I was up in TN visiting friends at a lake and took an hour drive North to look at this car I saw on Auto Trader. It was at Fox Chevrolet. Now I've bought over a hundred cars in my life but this was the best buying experience I think I've ever had. There was the dilemma of how to get it home. After the deal was done, they offered to deliver it to me FREE OF CHARGE!!!!! It turns out once a week or so they have someone fromthe dealership head down to the Atlanta Auto Auction so they said it would be no problem. They were so easy to get along with................nothing like the big city dealers. They never even asked to see my drivers license. They even put the car up a on a lift in the shop so I could check out the undercarriage. I may buy all my cars there!!!! Now to look for an exhaust and see if I can come up with the bucks for a supercharger.

What kiind of Toyota do you have and have you made any modifications?

Swap one in. Theres plenty of space for the engine under the hood. Too bad its auto only...

The original tires are long gone. It's got some aftermarket tire on it that I've never heard of ...... "ALPHA DEAN" or something like that. I'm putting new Michelins on it. And if I can find a used TRD Supercharger, that too..............along with an aftermarket exhaust.

Umm... the 3.5 BARELY fits in the Camry! Maybe the 3.0 from the earlier Camrys would fit, but I seriously doubt that anyone could get that monster into a Matrix without some serious modding.

Nothing a saw and custom motor mounts can't fix.
