USA New Matrix Owner

Well,I took the plunge and bought a brand new matrix. I kind of fell in love with the little car. Expecially, the gas mileage. After porting from a full size suv, this car is at the other end of the spectrum. So far I like it, it feels like driving a little sports car. I feel like I'm sitting on the ground almost.

I paid 18772 - 500. Not exactly sure if that was bad or good. According to one site it was dead on. Another sight was about a $1000 too high. It's the XR model with extra package 2, roof rack, Carpet mat set, and vehicle shield package. Just what is the vehicle shield package? What is the rental car Assistance? Whatever it is it's overpriced. I also opted for the warranty. I hate working on cars. It was only 995.00 for the 7 yr/ 100000 mile warranty with 0 deductible. The price above does not include the warranty.

I'm interested in customizing it a bit. I want to tint the windows. Not sure how dark i should go. The color I got was the silver. I also want to uprgrade the sound system a bit. Would like to add some speakers. Where are they installed with the upgraded sound system, and what size speakers are they. I only have 4 speakers. Would love to add some 6 X 9's and more power.

I want to by a bag for the roof rack to store some clothes in for trips as well. Any suggestions? I also want to make somewhat of a log for the car as well to keep some major records. Maintenance, Mileage, Trips. Anyone can recommend any software for this.

Well, this is my second toyota. My first was a 94 Toyota pickup R.I.P. Got totalled with one month left to pay. Otherwise we still would be driving it. In the five years i owned that pickup, Nothing and i mean nothing broke. Other than normal maintenance items that's all I ever done. I miss that truck. Had the 2.2r that was toyota's best motor. My opinion. Anyway, Hello to all.
