Slotted/Drilled ROTORS.. better?

Will upgrading my front rotors to Slotted/Drilled help stop shorter while leaving my factory rear drums stock? Or will the difference be insignificant?
thanks

Just upgrading to a set of good performance pads will improve braking.

Slotted / drilled rotors are desigined to cool down quicker when stoping the car repeatedly from high speeds (which is why they are used on race cars and super cars). You can put them on your matrix, and they will look great, but no, they won't help you stop any quicker (they will, however, chew through cheap brake pads pretty quickly). Upgrade your brake pads or get a big brake kit to help stop the car.

I suggest you invest in some decent pads and if you want non-drilled/slotted rotors. Too many people have complained about drilled and slotted rotors to be worth using on a street car.

meh, to big brake kits. Especially for the Matrix. They may help slow you down but the increase in rotational mass will kill your acceleration.

If I had drums in the back, I'd upgrade to XRS discs w/ some nice pads and call it a day.
